Brittany Nicole Howerton was born to Bob and Sharon on April 21, 1986 in Northeast TN. She grew up public schools and accepted Christ at the age of 6. Her life with Christ has produced a passion for international missions, children and student ministry.
She enjoys trips to the beach, being outdoors and trying new things, including trips to new places, new kinds of food and adventurous activities.
She has an avid love for peanut M&Ms and popcorn.
After graduating from Union University in May 2008, Brittany moved to Birmingham, Ala., where she has worked as a staff writer/assistant editor.
In May, Brittany moved to Andrews, N.C., to join her fiance, John, in ministry at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters.
Johnathan David Ragon was born to Joe and Renee on December 17, 1985 in West TN. He grew up in public schools and accepted Christ at the age of 10. His life with Christ has produced a passion for adventure in ministry, students and discipleship.
He enjoys trips to the mountains, being outdoors and doing anything active, including snowboarding, motocross, mountain biking and paintball.
He has an avid love for peanut M&Ms and popcorn.
After graduating from Union University in May 2009, John moved to Andrews, N.C., where he has worked at Snowbird Wilderness Outfitters since.
He moved Brittany to the area in May to work alongside him at Snowbird.
John and Brittany met for the first time in August 2004 in their Focus group (new student orientation) at Union University in Jackson, Tenn. After several years of learning and growing in Christ, they were re-united in August 2007. After a quick lunch at Backyard Burger and a semester thousands of miles apart, John and Brittany met up in Nashville for a fabulous January evening at Hard Rock Cafe and at a Nashville Predators hockey game.
And the rest is history.
